Anita Powell, Events & Communications Coordinator

Anita leads on event management across Business Action on Skills, as part of Business in the Community. She is an integral part of the campaign consistently delivering high profile, highly regarded and well attended events across the UK for corporates demanding more information on the skills and talent agenda. Anita also ensures consistent and effective communication of all campaign issues externally and internally, playing a key role in gathering and publicising case studies and administering the Skillstories and Business Action on Skills web pages.

Prior to this role Anita worked for Business Link where she managed projects and events from conception to evaluation.

Anita has been an advocate of informal learning in the workplace throughout her career, having established skills sharing sessions for her team and acted as learning champion within Business Link, and coordinated and promoted Learning at Work day activities for Business in the Community for the past two years.

Anita has worked and travelled across France and China teaching English after graduating in 2003 with a BA in Social & Cultural Studies.
